A club volunteer sets up the game
In the club's admin portal they pick the two teams, the venue, the date and the time. Teams and players are saved, so next week is quicker.
Sharing the game gives the scorer a code and PIN, and everyone else a scoreboard link and QR code. Sharing uses one game licence. If the club is out of licences, you can start a free first-quarter trial instead.

A parent volunteers to score
They enter the code and PIN on the tablet or laptop and check the starting line-ups.
The scoring level was chosen when the game was created, for example Scores (goals, misses and centre passes), Conversion (adds possession) or Full (adds where everything happened on court). There's also a Lite level. The scorer can change it before the first centre pass.

First centre pass
On the Full level, the scorer taps the court where play happens. On the Scores level, a goal is one tap on the shooter's Goal button. A substitution is two taps either way.
Once the scorer has signed in, scoring keeps working if the venue Wi-Fi drops out mid-game.

9:01 am
Everyone else is watching
The scoreboard link goes into the team chat, and the club's QR code is on the canteen wall. Families watch on their phones, at the court or at home, with no app or login.
Clubs can add their crest and sponsors to the scoreboard and show it on the canteen TV.

9:16 am
Quarter time
The coach opens live stats on their phone: the score timeline, each shooter's goals from attempts, and each of the team's players' court time so far.
Live stats need the game's code and PIN, the same ones the scorer uses, so share them only with people you trust.

10:10 am
Final whistle
The PDF scoresheet and the stats report are emailed to the addresses listed on your team (the one you keep stats for), such as the coach and the team manager. Nobody has to type up a paper sheet.

What do we need to get started?
A tablet or laptop for the scorer and a free CourtSide account. There's nothing to install for the people watching: they just open the link.
Our volunteers aren't stats people. Will they cope?
Start on the Scores level: goals, misses, centre passes and substitutions, with a Goal button under each shooter. Move up a level when your bench is ready.
What happens if the Wi-Fi drops out?
Once the scorer has signed in with the code and PIN, scoring keeps working on the device. The scoreboard and stats catch up when the connection comes back.
Who can see our stats?
Anyone with the scoreboard link sees the score. Live stats need the game's code and PIN, which are the same ones the scorer uses, so only share them with people you trust.
Can another person help the scorer?
Yes, if you have one. A second volunteer can add detail on their own phone with Stats Buddy. One person can score a whole game alone.
